On October 28th, Central PA’s premier business magazine, Pennsylvania Business Central will feature their 2016 Foremost Under 40 honoring Central Pennsylvania's next generation of leaders.
The editors of Pennsylvania Business Central selected Brandon Carson of the Southern Alleghenies Planning and Development Commission as one of its recipients this year.
Brandon Carson is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and is currently the Director of Planning and Community Development at the Southern Alleghenies Planning and Development Commission (SAP&DC). Since starting his career at Southern Alleghenies in 2006, Brandon has had the opportunity to work with a lot of great individuals and organizations. In his current role, Brandon works with his team to provide project and funding development assistance in the areas of infrastructure, transportation planning, and various other community and economic development initiatives. In addition to serving as a liaison to a number of state and federal agencies, Brandon and his team work with a wide variety of clients in the region on the implementation of key economic development projects.
Brandon believes that successful economic development requires strong partnerships with stakeholders that possess the vision necessary to make a project a reality. Some of the most successful projects that Carson has worked on in his 10 years at SAP&DC have involved a multitude of community partners that were willing to commit their time and resources to the effort.
Outside the office, Carson enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, skiing, and golfing.
